Collections elements

Here are two more projects , using the Collection Elements papers and transparencies.
My Dad-Inlaw makes wooden toys and often makes me little things from left over scraps. This little bird house is one of his creations.
I embossed the paper and lightly inked and glimmer misted.
The base was was covered with ribbon (from Hobbysew) the flowers are Floral Embelishments by Petaloo. The clock face is from The girls paperie by Margie, the paper, Merchant collection 6x6 paper  and butterflies are from Collections Elements.

.

I was struggling with what to do with my transparency sheet for quite a few days, after a chat on the phone to a dear friend ( my secret muse) she suggested making a canvas card..... so thank you again Marcia Smith , I think I would still be sitting here clueless if you hadn't helped me.

the chipboard was painted with black nail polish .... yes nail polish

and I burnt the edges of the music sheet.
I made the flowers by die cutting, then softening the transparency with my heat gun and shaping the petals in a jar lid. the brad in the center of the flower was also painted with black nail polish ( sorry the flowers haven't shown up well in the photos, but the drawing pins I used to hold things, while the glue dried, showed up a treat...oops). The edges of the canvas where covered with impasto and I used plasterers tape to imprint the corse texture, then they were painted with acrylic paints.
I glued some old fly wire to acrylic ATC cover, and added a stamped polymer clay tile that I had made.

I love the work from Altered Alchemy,  the jewellery and wearable art is so wonderful.
so this is my "Inspired by"Altered Alchemy.
This was a little project I made for a gift , with some metal elements and die cuts and a USB.

so again
thanks for visiting
